Irish VRT Appeal Service

Revenue's VRT figure doesn't have to be final.

Your VRT appeal is only as strong as the evidence you send.

We research the Irish used car market, source relevant comparable evidence, and organise everything into a structured appeal-support PDF — ready for Revenue's MyEnquiries portal. Messy or incomplete submissions are difficult to review.

VRT valuation appeals generally have a two-month window from the date of registration. Check the exact date and instructions on your own Revenue/NCTS decision documents. If you're close to the deadline, act quickly and prepare your evidence as soon as possible.

The appeal process feels harder than it should be

01

You need to find comparable Irish listings — but which ones actually count?

02

You need to know what Revenue's appeals team looks for.

03

You need to present everything in a format a Revenue officer can follow quickly.

04

You have a limited window — VRT valuation appeals are generally around two months. Check the date on your own Revenue documents.

How it works

Three straightforward steps — we do the research, you submit the pack.

1

Submit your details

Vehicle make, model, year, mileage, Revenue OMSP/VRT figure, and your Revenue/NCTS document.

2

We research and build your pack

We source relevant Irish-market price evidence where available, organise your information, and usually prepare a structured PDF within 2–3 business days after receiving enough usable information.

3

You review and submit

Check the pack, add your PPSN or Revenue number where needed, and submit through Revenue's MyEnquiries portal.

Structure is what makes evidence usable

Having comparable listings is a start. Presenting them in a way a Revenue officer can follow quickly is the difference.

Without organised evidence
Screenshots attached loosely with no comparison table
No proposed OMSP figure stated clearly
No explanation of why each comparable is relevant
No mileage or specification context provided
No structured cover note for MyEnquiries
Revenue has no clear comparison argument to follow. The submission is difficult to review and may be returned for further information.
With the evidence pack
Comparable matrix with mileage differences noted for each listing
Proposed OMSP stated and supported by Irish-market median
Analysis notes explaining why each comparable is relevant
Listing URLs, capture dates, and source details included
Draft cover note ready to paste into MyEnquiries
Revenue can follow the argument, compare the evidence, and make a decision on a clearly presented case.

A Revenue appeals officer reading a well-organised pack can answer within seconds: what OMSP was applied, what the Irish market evidence shows, what the difference is, and what the appellant is asking for. That clarity is what makes a first-stage appeal reviewable.

Frequently asked questions

We prepare the evidence — Revenue makes all decisions. A well-organised pack gives you the best possible chance, but we cannot guarantee any outcome. Revenue is the only authority that can change your OMSP or VRT amount.
Your vehicle registration number, the Revenue OMSP/VRT figure, and ideally a copy of your VRT/NCTS assessment document. We source the Irish-market price evidence ourselves — you do not need to find comparable listings.
For VRT valuation appeals, Revenue guidance generally points to a two-month window from the date of registration. Other VRT appeal types may run from the date of the initial decision. Always check your own Revenue/NCTS documents and official Revenue guidance. If you're close to that deadline, submit your details as soon as possible so we have time to prepare your pack.
No. This is a document preparation service. We organise evidence — we do not give legal or tax advice, we are not affiliated with Revenue, and we do not submit anything to Revenue on your behalf.
No. You remain the appellant throughout the entire process. We prepare the evidence pack — you review it, add your PPSN where needed, and submit it yourself through Revenue's MyEnquiries portal. We never act as your agent, representative, or intermediary with Revenue.
Note this when submitting your details. We will do our best to find relevant Irish-market evidence, and we will tell you honestly if the evidence is too sparse to prepare a useful pack — and refund you in full if we cannot proceed.
